Korea University uses AI to design antiviral compoundsA Korea University team targeted DHPS, benchmarking 13 binding-score models and 10 molecule-generation methods, and experimentally validated AI-generated molecules. Published in the Journal of Cheminformatics, the work targets a host enzyme supporting HIV-1 and SARS-CoV-2 replication.
Taming nanoscale heat to satiate energy-hungry AIProf. Tae Geun Kim's team at Korea University published in the International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing a double-confined phase-change memory structure that uses layered thermal management to enable multi-bit storage while reducing atom displacement and data drift, potentially easing AI's energy and heat burden.
