Amazon launches Alexa text-based shopping feature

Amazon will let users chat with its Alexa AI agent via text to shop, rolling the feature out to millions of US users in coming weeks. The launch follows Amazon blocking Meta's Muse from its site in September and comes just before the holiday shopping season. The agent handles item search, cart adds, purchases, price tracking and order checks.
