Amazon says Alexa for Shopping will lead its platform shopping

Amazon CEO Jassy said few consumers shop via AI agents and the experience is poor, and that Alexa for Shopping will be the primary agent customers use on Amazon. Amazon blocked Meta's shopping agent Muse while Walmart and Shopify embraced it. PYMNTS data shows Amazon accounts for 59% of the most recent AI-assisted purchases.
