Census AI Adoption Data Caught Up in 'Super Intelligence' Order
Simon Willison reran the U.S. Census Bureau's BTOS AI adoption data and found large firms' 'yes' rate rose from about 12% in September 2025 to about 40% in October 2026 after the question changed from 'producing goods or services' to 'any business function.' He notes the Bureau has run afoul of Executive Order 14434.
