Stanford et al. unveil Hybrid Reasoning Agents
A new paper from Stanford, Together AI, UIUC and Meta introduces Hybrid Reasoning Agents, which reason mostly in a hidden internal space and emit text only to use tools or give the final answer, making them faster and cheaper. On math, science and medicine tests they score about 10% higher, use half the tokens and run twice as fast.
