New Book Offers Mathematical Primer on Generative AI Foundations
Tianhua Chen released the arXiv preprint "The Little Book of Generative AI Foundations," a derivation-oriented primer linking PCA, VAEs, diffusion models, normalizing flows, GANs and energy-based models. The 195-page revised version adds visual explanations and targets researchers, practitioners and students.
