Hollywood studios seek AI-trained film graduates

Hollywood studios are turning to film schools for graduates who already know AI video tools instead of training staff themselves, Semafor reported. Runway and NYU Tisch launched their first university course in December 2024, starting January 2025; Runway tools are also used at RISD, MIT, and Harvard. Netflix said generative AI featured in about 300 titles this year, and Google invested $75m in A24 in June.
