Ex-DeepMind VP Vinyals: self-improvement won't spark explosion
Former DeepMind research head Oriol Vinyals says recursive self-improvement is unlikely to trigger a sudden intelligence explosion due to bottlenecks in idea generation and evaluation. He co-founded Discovery Loop with Jeff Dean, Sanjay Ghemawat and Quoc Le to address these limits.
