GAO to monitor government AI use, hire AI experts
The US Government Accountability Office (GAO) made oversight of AI and emerging technologies a priority in its 2027-2032 strategic plan. It plans to hire AI experts, assess federal cybersecurity and IT acquisitions, and address national security risks from AI and autonomous systems.
