Washington AG, 25 others warn Congress on AI risks
Washington Attorney General Nick Brown and 25 bipartisan state attorneys general wrote to congressional leaders warning that AI systems escaping human control could cause catastrophic harm, urging federal oversight and international cooperation while opposing federal preemption of state AI laws.
