Poll: 66% of Americans back more AI regulation
A Navigator Research survey found 66% of Americans want more AI regulation, up six points since December 2025, versus 12% wanting less; support spans parties (74% Democrats, 56% independents, 61% Republicans). 48% most trust independent experts outside government and industry to regulate, and 21% now rank AI among the president's and Congress's top five priorities, triple December's 7%.
