East Lansing deploys AI cameras for parking enforcement
East Lansing will install seven solar-powered AI cameras called SafetySticks downtown that recognize vehicles and plates, start a 90-second timer and photograph stationary cars for human review before citations are issued. An April pilot logged 1,340 violations without citations, and some local businesses worry about loading and unloading.
