USDA to use AI to check crop data after errors
The USDA will use its in-house AI tool to check data in its Nov. 10 crop production report, after errors in September corn data raised Nebraska's yield by about 3% and lowered Kansas's by about 2%. The tool would have flagged the problem, and the agency aims to restore trust in its forecasts.
