Cisco, Nvidia tackle AI data center bottleneck
Cisco is partnering with Nvidia on a new generation of optical networking technology to handle exploding data traffic in AI data centers. Cisco President Jeetu Patel says AI agents consume far more bandwidth than humans, and faster, more power-efficient links could let hundreds of thousands of GPUs work together while lowering AI costs.
