Apple tightens macOS Full Disk Access controls over AI agent risks
Apple will add new controls to macOS's Full Disk Access permission, saying increasingly capable AI agents raise the risks of apps broadly reading users' files, messages, and browsing history. The move follows a journalist's claim that Meta's Muse app read his private messages and a report on a ChatGPT Mac app flaw. Apple says granting the permission will now require very explicit user action.
