Study finds AI writing tells persist in Opus 5.5 and other models

Graphite compared over 10,000 pre-ChatGPT articles with model rewrites and found 13,000 phrases at least twice as common in AI text as in human writing. Opus 5.5's standout tell is "dependable," used 23 times more often than by humans; Claude models are converging toward human word distributions while GPT models are diverging.
