Sanders Bill Would Ban Superintelligence, Create AI Department
Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Greg Casar introduced a bill to permanently ban artificial superintelligence and create a Department of Artificial Intelligence. It would pause advanced AI development until safety rules are set, with violations carrying up to 20 years in prison.
