ARA secures patent for AI that predicts circulatory shock
Applied Research Associates patented an AI model that uses historical ICU data to identify circulatory shock before onset; the condition has 50-60% mortality and septic shock alone costs the US healthcare system $23B a year. The model was tested in Mayo Clinic's ICU and is now used in US ICUs via a collaboration with Ambient Clinical Analytics.
