Seattle Bans AI, Personal-Data Grocery Pricing
Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson signed the Fair and Transparent Pricing ordinance, barring large grocers with 20+ locations and delivery services from using personal data like browsing history, location or race with AI to set individual grocery prices. It takes effect Sept. 1, 2027.
