Google pays publishers very little for AI answer content
According to The Information, Google pays about 100 digital publishers for content in AI Overviews, AI Mode and Gemini, ranging from under $1,000 over months to over $1 million a year. Some participants don't know how payments are calculated, while larger publishers hold out for higher rates.
