Ozaukee County sheriff deploys AI dispatcher Ava

The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office communications center in Wisconsin deployed Ava, an AI system built by Aurelian, to handle non-emergency calls so human dispatchers can focus on radio traffic and 911. Ava is fully Spanish-capable and can transfer emergencies to 911. The center handled 113,538 non-emergency and 17,612 emergency calls in 2025, with emergency volume up 17% this year.
