OpenAI launches always-on assistant dots, built from coding tools

OpenAI executive Alexander Embiricos said dots reframes coding-tool experience, like Codex, into a single always-on assistant entity that keeps working in the background. It is available to ChatGPT Pro-tier subscribers and above, starting at $100 a month, and connects to calendars, email and computers. He said the challenge is making it intuitive, not adding new tech.
