Hurston-1 open-source TTS speaks Southern, Afro-English

Atlanta-based Destined AI released Hurston-1, an Apache-2.0 narrowband TTS model strong in Southern American and regional African English accents, fine-tuned on 136 hours of consented audio from Maya1. The founder says it has supported customers like Amazon and Salesforce and generated over $500K.
