AI experts assess risk of human extinction within a decade
Former Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon warned that AI developers 'earnestly believe' AI could kill all humans by the end of the decade, with safety engineer Evan Hubinger putting it at over 10%. Geoffrey Hinton called 10% a reasonable estimate. The report uses super-forecasting tool Noah Predict to assess the odds.
