Machover's AI Concerto Premieres With Boston Symphony
Tod Machover, director of the MIT Media Lab, premiered a concerto for orchestra and electronics on Oct. 24 with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, using AI software as a real-time musical partner that responds to players' improvisations, making each performance unique. Manaswi Mishra developed and controlled the sound enhancement system.
