Explaining FP32-accumulation GPU unlocks on NVIDIA consumer cards
A technical post explains recent NVIDIA consumer-GPU unlocks: factory fuses cap FP32-accumulated tensor throughput at half speed for market segmentation, and unlocking restores full speed without adding SMs or VRAM. Turing, Ampere and Ada can be unlocked via the driver-loaded Booter firmware, but consumer Blackwell cannot.
