OpenAI used its own LLMs to design Jalapeño chip
According to IEEE Spectrum, OpenAI used its own large language models to help design its Jalapeño chip, drastically shortening design time. The chip pairs a compute die with six stacks of HBM4 and an I/O chiplet, and the design process is expected to get even faster.
