WindBorne wins nearly $50M US Air Force contract

Weather balloon startup WindBorne Systems won a US Air Force contract worth up to $49 million to supply atmospheric data from its autonomous balloons for deep-learning weather forecasting. With about 700 balloons operating globally, the company has received $1.7 million in orders so far.
