Wikimedia files brief in AI copyright cases

The Wikimedia Foundation filed an amicus brief in lawsuits pitting publishers including The New York Times against OpenAI and Microsoft. It argues that training LLMs on copyrighted works should be legally protected, but chatbots should not regurgitate that content to users.
