White House Hosts AI Execs; Congress Keeps Hands Off Regulation

Trump met at the White House with tech leaders including Jensen Huang, Mark Zuckerberg, Dario Amodei and Jeff Bezos, while Speaker Johnson resisted AI regulation and the Senate skipped a Democratic-backed regulatory bill. The White House then released a Joint Commitment on Frontier Responsibilities, saying each company is responsible for safe development and that laws may be codified over time.
