Utah law requires schools to set AI use policies

Utah's new House Bill 273 requires every school district and charter school to establish AI policies at district, classroom and assignment levels, with safeguards for student data. State AI specialist Matthew Winters said schools must have data privacy agreements with AI vendors before use.
