USA Today sues OpenAI for over $250 million

USA Today and publishers representing 19 newspapers are suing OpenAI for more than $250 million and seeking destruction of AI models and training datasets containing their copyrighted journalism. The complaint says OpenAI's WebText dataset holds over 160,000 entries from the papers' sites, about 83,300 tied to USA Today's flagship site.
