US payroll data: young workers most affected by AI

The Canaries Dashboard, led by the Stanford Digital Economy Lab and ADP Research, shows US employment in the AI-exposed roles of workers aged 22 to 25 fell 4.4% year over year in August 2026, contracting every month since October 2023, about a year after ChatGPT's release. ADP chief economist Nela Richardson discussed the trend.
