Thrive Holdings acquires ADT in $15.3B deal

OpenAI-backed Thrive Holdings is acquiring security company ADT for $10 per share, or about $7.6 billion in equity, with a total enterprise value of $15.3 billion. Thrive plans to bring AI to home security, with ADT forming the foundation of its smart home security business. OpenAI is a partner, supplying AI models and engineers.
