Rubrik acquires Opas AI to boost proactive data management

Rubrik acquired Mountain View-based Opas AI, which focuses on root-cause-analysis AI and built a causation engine that models application and infrastructure behavior. Rubrik says the technology will enable more proactive anomaly alerts and faster problem response; analysts called it a first for a backup vendor.
