Researcher discusses narrative battles in the AI age

Syrian-American researcher Aya Labania, speaking to Al Jazeera, traced conspiracy theories from European witch hunts and Nazi propaganda to online information wars, including around Gaza. She warned that without media literacy and social trust, new media can spread misinformation, polarization and collective violence rather than raise awareness.
