Rep. Chip Roy backs AI oversight, not regulation

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) told CNBC's Squawk Box that Congress has an oversight role on AI but he opposes regulation, favoring a free-market approach and having AI CEOs testify about safety. His remarks follow an Anthropic researcher's resignation warning AI could kill us all by the end of the decade, and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei's call for regulation.
