Photon raises $4.5M seed to help replace apps with messaging agents

Startup Photon raised $4.5 million in seed funding to help developers build AI agents that run on iMessage, WhatsApp and other messaging platforms. It says it has signed up over 40,000 developers and grew revenue 10x in four months, betting consumers will use agents instead of downloading apps.
