OpenAI's Decisions API: a Jev clone for fast agent decisions

At Dev Day, Sam Altman introduced OpenAI's new Decisions API, which gives the Luna model a predefined set of choices for tasks like image classification or agent behavior, making it very fast while retaining image understanding and safety. The product resembles Jev, released this month by TypeSafe AI, which developers use to augment LLMs more cheaply and quickly. OpenAI has released it only as a limited preview.
