Moonshot's open-weight model tops OpenAI on financial research benchmark

Moonshot AI released the weights of its 2.8-trillion-parameter Kimi K3.1 Pro, which scored 58.6 on a finance agent test versus 45.0 for OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra and supports a 1-million-token context. Mistral also opened Mistral Large 4 weights, and Tencent's Hy4 topped a blind test by 213 finance professionals, as the open-closed model gap narrows further.
