Microsoft President Says AI Less Regulated Than Milk

Microsoft president Brad Smith told the BBC that milk and washing machines face more regulation than AI, calling for global safety rules including breach-notification duties, independent pre-release safety evaluations and 'kill switches'. He called last month's self-regulation agreement signed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Nvidia, Meta and Google with President Trump a good but no longer sufficient step.
