Hackers breach open-source AI coding tool OpenCode, steal users' API keys

Hackers broke into part of OpenCode's online platform and stole users' API keys, running up charges on their AI accounts. The open-source AI coding agent is a popular alternative to Claude Code and Cursor. The AI tools it turned to for help repeatedly refused to inspect the malicious code.
