Google DeepMind says Gemini 4 is nearly ready

New Google DeepMind chief Koray Kavukcuoglu said in his first media appearance that Gemini 4 is in its refinement stage and will launch an early post-training version much earlier than the end of the year. Google has lagged rivals on flagship AI releases and aims to speed up iteration.
