The developer of Photopea says people used AI to extract his site's JavaScript, strip the ads and publish tens of repositories on GitHub as 'new products'; after filing a DMCA notice on Sept. 4, GitHub replied a month later that it could not confirm a violation of 17 U.S. Code §1201.
