Chinese hackers impersonate Anthropic employee to steal AI secrets

Proofpoint reports that a suspected China-aligned group, TA419, impersonated an Anthropic researcher and former US officials to target AI policy experts at US think tanks, universities, and law firms with phishing emails and malware-laced documents aimed at their cloud accounts.
