Bank of America warns customers not to share banking credentials with AI assistants

Bank of America emailed customers urging them never to share banking usernames or passwords with outside services, including AI tools or agents acting on their behalf. It said customers are responsible for activity resulting from such access; leaked credentials risk unauthorized transactions, account lockouts, and exposure through AI security flaws. Banks are still working out how AI agents fit into payments.
