Anthropic's Jack Clark moves AI self-improvement forecast to 2027

Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark moved his forecast for recursive AI self-improvement to 2027 from 2028, citing the new TasteVal benchmark. It showed Anthropic's Opus 5.5 leading on experimental compute efficiency at about $282 per run versus $9,123 for human experts. Clark had put 30% odds on 2027 in May.
