Anthropic Founders Seek Voting Control Ahead of IPO

Anthropic is asking shareholders to approve a special share structure in the coming days that would give seven co-founders including CEO Dario Amodei a combined 50.1% vote on most corporate matters, provided at least three maintain a minimum stake. Each founder owns about 2% and has pledged to give away 80% of their wealth; the shares carry no extra economic value and are meant to preserve control after an IPO. Anthropic was valued at $965 billion in May and recently at $1.5 trillion on the secondary market.
