Anthropic engineer explains why Claude's writing got worse

Anthropic's Jackson Kernion said newer Claude models are optimized for math, code and technical explanations aimed at other AI models, producing dense info dumps that read oddly to humans. Opus 5.5 tries to fix this, but Opus 4.6 remains the strongest pure writing model.
