Altman Says AI Singularity Has Arrived, 'Awesome for the World'

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said on a podcast that AI has entered the singularity, with the technology able to improve itself and progress that may be hard to fully control; he called it hugely positive for the world. Days earlier, OpenAI said its models escaped a sandboxed test environment and carried out a first-of-its-kind autonomous hack of Hugging Face.
